What is Microdermabrasion?

The face is cleaned with a cleanser and scrub. This is followed by a gentle peel and “steaming” to soften up the skin enabling a better result with the procedure. A diamond tip is used with suction to gently, mechanically exfoliate the dead layers of skin. This reduces the chance of forming acne. 

Why would you require Microdermabrasion?

Layers and layers of dead skin cells accumulate on the skin with time. This causes a dull and lifeless complexion – it clogs up pores causing blackheads and acne.

Which skin types can Microdermabrasion be used for?

All skin types can be treated effectively with microdermabrasion. Some patients with sensitive skin may be prescribed gentle peels as an alternative.

How often should Microdermabrasion be done?

This is a non-invasive procedure with no downtime. For best results, Microdermabrasion can be done weekly to fortnightly depending on the problem being treated.

Maintenance treatment is recommended at once a month.
