Saggy Brow

Saggy Brows develop with age due to loss of main structural proteins and elastic, fibrous glycoprotein of the various connective tissues which is a natural result of aging. Many people would like to get a brow lift as one of a number of key actions to achieve a younger look. There are treatments available to create a brow lift.

At Nitai Medical & Cosmetic Centre, commonly 2 different non-surgical treatments are used. The “Antiwrinkle Injections” and “Dermal Filler Injections” can be used separately or in combination.

Antiwrinkle Injections for Saggy Brow

Muscles around the eyes and in the forehead create a pull effect on the eye brows. At Nitai, our doctor would typically inject the muscles surrounding the eyes, causing them to relax and therefore minimise the downward pull on the eye brow. This leaves the forehead muscles to pull up the eye brows. In many patients, a few millimetres of browlift can be achieved with anti wrinkle injection treatments.

At Nitai, we only use the best quality anti wrinkle injections, thereby minimising the number of units of the product required. This ensures that typically the effects of the anti wrinkle injection will last between 4-6 months.

Dermal Filler treatment for Saggy Brow

Dermal Fillers can be injected underneath the eye brows to support and create a lift of the browline. With age, the bony appearance around the eyes become more apparent. The dermal fillers also serve to soften and create a more youthful appearance around the eyes. When injected in the mid section of the upper eyelids or brow, the dermal fillers fill the hollow area and have the effect of minimising saggy eyelids also.

At Nitai we only use the best quality dermal fillers available. These typically last between 9-12 months.
